California Saga Charity Rock Concert Returns To The Ace Hotel Theater

With homelessness in Los Angeles still being a huge issue, California Saga returns for a night of entertainment and music raising money to end the problem in Southern California. California Saga 2 is an All-Star Charity Concert presented by Rock Cellar Productions. Featured artists include David Crosby of folk-rock supergroup Crosby, Stills & Nash, Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Famer Al Jardine, Jesse Colin Young of the Youngbloods, Grammy-winning guitar legend Albert Lee, and members of the Immediate Family Danny “Kootch” Kortchmar, Waddy Wachtel, Leland Sklar, and Steve Postell plus other special guests including Freebo (Bonnie Raitt), Rosemary Butler (Jackson Browne), actor/singer Rob Morrow, poet Stephen Kalinich, and more still to be announced. 

 

Last year’s event raised a fantastic sum of money and this year is expected to bring in even more. 100% of ticket sales will benefit three worthy charity organizations that feed, clothe, and bring comfort to our community’s most vulnerable citizens: Get Together Foundation (www.gettogetherfoundation.org) in partnership with Hope of the Valley Rescue Mission(www.hopeofthevalley.org/), a leading provider of housing and homeless services in the San Fernando Valley, annually providing over 206,000 meals and 61,000 nights of shelter. Utilizing 10 site locations, the Mission is committed to providing comprehensive care, services, and resources to those most in need, The Midnight Mission(www.midnightmission.org), located in downtown Los Angeles, provides programs for families, children, seniors, veterans, women, and men including recovery counseling and other programs helping to solve homelessness in Southern California.

Guests will be introduced to the philanthropic activities of the Get Together Foundation, including the launch of their Food Truck Campaign, ‘Takin’ It To The Streets’!

The all-star concert will take place at one of downtown Los Angeles’ historic landmark buildings, the Theatre at Ace Hotel on Wednesday, July 3rd, 2019. California Saga 2 will feature The TRIBE, a collective of over 30 of Los Angeles’ most talented musicians, and will include performances by Carly Smithson (American Idol), Gary Stockdale (Brian Setzer), Jeff Alan Ross (Badfinger), John Pratt, The Honeys, Jules Galli, and more together with the backing band and background vocal section.
