Since the inception of Wheat, this entrepreneurial couple has created a luxury lifestyle line, Wheat 1.17, and they have opened boutique locations across the states. In 2021, the duo is taking their stunningly curated boutiques even further afield, establishing their next must-visit destination on the island of Anguilla.

 

Since its inception, the prosperity Wheat has seen is easy to understand after getting to know Molly and Huw. Molly has an extensive background in the fashion industry, working for brands such as Diane von Furstenberg, Helmut Lang, and Ralph Lauren. Entrepreneurship runs in her blood; Molly comes from a long line of business owners and trailblazers. On the other hand, Huw is no novice to fashion and styling or to creating a brand. His role on Pretty Little Liars allowed him to work with and learn from the incredible teams of designers and stylists in the entertainment industry. 

 

When these two lovebirds brought together their knowledge and skills, they created an unstoppable brand. Focusing on curating a space that caters to all the needs of luxury travelers or locals alike, Wheat’s Boutique is an experience no one wants to miss. The brand specializes in carefully curated high-quality items for everyone and even tailors their selections to fit their in-person store locations’ aesthetics. Depending on the site, patrons may find exclusive items, such as local artisan products like Plum Island Lighthouse prints at Wheat Newburyport. 

 

In addition to their stunning brick-and-mortar locations, Wheat Boutique has a carefully crafted a virtual boutique that makes the brand accessible to anyone, anywhere, anytime. The virtual storefront carries all of the Wheat fan favorites from Aviator Nation to Barefoot Dreams. Wheat’s collection also brings newer brands like Canal St Martin, Devotion, & Hunza G into the mix to create a wide range of luxury stapes for men, women, children, and even the home!

Molly and Huw’s inspiration for Wheat and a break into the fashion industry came to them during a vacation to Coco Chanel’s apartment in Paris. The couple had noticed the depictions of wheat scattered throughout the space. They soon learned that Coco Chanel’s upbringing in the French countryside led her to believe that wheat represented the ability to transcend circumstance; by keeping wheat close, she would find an abundance of prosperity. In this iconic story of perseverance, Molly and Huw’s concept for Wheat Boutique was born. 

 

After their initial inspiration, the two tirelessly worked together to ensure that their brand would provide patrons with an unparalleled experience. Despite the adored brands featured in Wheat Boutiques worldwide, Molly and Huw realized that there was still something to be desired. This realization led to the creation of Wheat 1.17, a stunningly high-quality collection of staple pieces that combine luxury and comfort for the ultimate experience. Wheat 1.17 encompasses everything from outwear to loungewear; each piece fits seamlessly into Wheat Boutique’s other brands. 

 

Molly and Huw’s tireless efforts to expand their brand and create the perfect experience for guests had led them down a path of immense success. With their newest island location open on Presidents Day in the Four Season Anguilla, it seems that 2021 will be carrying Wheat to new heights!
