Meet Bonne et Filou
Isn’t treating our furry friends the best job in the world? We consider our dogs like children, and proud dog parents want to give them more than just a treat: they want an experience around it. This is exactly what Bonne et Filou does by bringing a taste of the lavish lifestyle with its unique, all-natural dog macarons.
Founded by Parisian Nicholas Nemeth, Bonne et Filou was inspired by kings Louis XIV and Henry III, who treated their dogs like people. Similar to how dogs were idolized in the Middle Ages, Americans today spend more on their dogs than on themselves.
All that exists on the market today are poorly-packaged, low-quality foods for pets. Bonne et Filou is changing that standard as the first and only luxury dog food brand.
Sold in boxes of six, Bonne et Filou macarons come in strawberry, lavender, mint, vanilla, and rose flavors. While human macarons contain mostly sugar, Bonne et Filou’s macarons are made with oatmeal, honey, and coconut oil for the most elegant taste. The company worked with a nutritionist and a veterinarian to prepare the healthiest possible recipe for dogs.
These “treats” are handmade and prepared without artificial coloring or preservatives, and they come in beautifully styled recyclable packaging. Pet lovers even have the option to subscribe and get these luxurious treats regularly delivered to their doorstep!
Edible for dogs, edible for humans? Nemeth tested his product to find out. The result was a delectable and crispy texture, similar to a cookie. A dog lover himself, Nemeth and his wife Linzi own a Cavapoo named Filou, who has nearly 15,000 followers on Instagram.
What’s next for this booming brand? Nemeth is currently soliciting businesses. Rather than doing mass-market, he plans on premium retail in luxury hotels and specialized shops.
Named the #1 best dog product by Marie Claire Magazine, Bonne et Filou’s macarons have been featured in Cosmopolitan, Pet Business, Frenchly, French Morning, and the French American Chamber of Commerce. Endorsed by multiple veterinarians and praised by celebrities and royal dogs of Instagram, these unique treats are fit for royalty.
